Before any delivery of the OBESITY MANAGEMENT FELINE food in pouches the target weight is determined according to the individual and the breed. The Body Score (SC) of the cat will determine the number of kcal allocated per kg of target weight (30 kcal for a SC of 3.5 or 4.0 and 35 kcal for a SC of 4.5 or 5.0).

Non-consumption of the food or too rapid weight loss in the cat exposes the risk of hepatic lipidosis.

ROYAL CANIN OBESITY MANAGEMENT FELINE reduces energy intake by 50 to 70% compared to another moist food equivalent volume. Reduction of starch levels to reduce the post-prandial glycemic peak. A diet rich in protein (> 110 g / 1000 kcal EM) reduces the loss of muscle mass by 30%. Chondroitin inhibits enzymatic action against chondrocytes and hydrates cartilage. Glucosamine stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycan and hyaluronic acid.
